Loos & Dilworth Introduces
Novel Chemistry for the Cosmetics Industry

Bristol, PA 19007, U.S.A..........Loos & Dilworth introduces two unique chemical families--new to the cosmetics and personal care industries. These materials were originally developed to interact with cellulose and mediate the interactions with aqueous media. Similar functionality has been shown on polysaccharide/protein substrates, such as hair, skin, and nails.

The first is a family of cationic, water-soluble, cross-linking polymers which can enhance the adherence of other materials to skin, hair and nails. These polymers are crosslinkable; effective over wide pH range; reactive with nucleophiles; easy to use; water soluble; have FDA approval for food contact; and are not a primary skin irritant nor a sensitizer. The second group of materials is fatty-acid based and will impart hydrophobicity.
