Celebrates 105 Year Anniversary in 1998

Bristol, PA (USA) Loos & Dilworth, Inc., will celebrate its' 105th year in 1998 as a leading Oil and Specialty Chemical Distributor.

Incepted in 1893 by the Loos & Dilworth families, it started as a specialty chemical blending house. In 1925, it became the first independent distributor for Hercules, Incorporated, specializing in resin sales. Later, it entered the motor oil market, servicing the automotive industry.

Today, the company is owned by Philadelphia entrepreneur, Richard G. Campbell. It is a major force on the east coast in the chemical industry for the distribution of resins and polymers, and is one of the largest independent motor oil distributors in the United States. Originally started as a Philadelphia-based firm, it now boasts the ability to do business world-wide. The Chemical Division is managed by David F. Tompkins, vice president and. general manager. Sales, marketing, and new product sourcing is handled by Linda M. Schepise.
