Modifier for Epoxy Resins

Bristol, PA 19007, U.S.A .........Loos &Dilworth provides the adhesives industry with a special liquid hydrocarbon resin modifier for epoxy-resin-based compounds. This pale, liquid resin functions as a nonvolatile, nonreactive extender. This resin is a neutral low molecular weight polystyrene resin. Its viscosity and color are in the same range as those of typical unreacted epoxy resins. Because it is 100% solids, no significant shrinkage of the composition occurs as a result of its use. Most properties normally contributed by the straight epoxy, including hardness and color, are retained. In many cases, greater flexibility and shock resistance are added advantages provided by the modifier.
