Loos & Dilworth, Inc. Distributes Water-Soluble
Polymer for Water-Based Flexographic Inks

Bristol, PA (USA) Loos & Dilworth, Inc. now has available an aqueous solution of a cationic, water-soluble polyamide/epichlorohydrin polymer that reacts with paper cellulose and self-cross-links on drying to impart excellent bleedfastness, or resistance to water, detergents, and alcohol. When applied to tissue and toweling as an ink vehicle, 2043 resin dries almost instantly and develops an effective level of cure in about two days at room temperature. Complete cure requires about two weeks. Curing can be greatly accelerated by applying heat. Resin 2043 is an outstanding vehicle for production of water-based flexographic inks of the desired shade intensity with dyes or pigments.
